Marianne Vuckovich
Marianne Vuckovich is a registered Kinesiotherapist who received her undergraduate degree in Exercise Physiology/Biomechanics with a minor in Psychology from University of Illinois in Champaign/Urbana and her Kinesiotherapy certification from the University of Toledo in Ohio. With over 19 years of experience in the field of therapy, she has treated a wide array of populations consisting of:
- professional athletes
- infants and children
- Special needs children
- Geriatric populations
- Immune deficiency patients
(Fibromyalgia, multiple sclerosis, lupus)
- High school and college athletes
- Stroke patients
- Cancer survivors
- Cardiac Rehabilitation patients
Some of her specialized trainings include:
- Assistive Technology Provider
- Power Plate Exercise Instructor
- Aquatic Therapy Instructor
- Knee Injury Prevention Program Instructor
Although the range of populations varies widely, her focus remains on educating the patient and bringing them to their fullest potential. Through the use of soft tissue therapy, corrective exercises, and gait training, she specializes in identifying pathomechanics and deficiencies in the body and strengthening not only these deficiencies, but a person’s entire linked system. Most referrals come from doctors who see her as a “harder problem-solver” and not the average cookbook-type therapist. You will be sure to undergo an in-depth evaluation that will analyze posture, alignment, gait anomalies, as well as balance, kinesthetic awareness, and hands-on palpation of the musculature to detect tight or spasmed areas. She will build a corrective exercise program that will come to be your lifelong arsenal in combating the ageing process and those pains that plague us.
